He was natural police. And I don't say that about many people, even when they're here on the felt. I don't say that often unless it happens to be true. Nat'ral po-lice. But Christ, what an asshole.

Tom asking Spike which Tetris block is his favorite.

And also "Now Spike, when you say 'Sims', you're not talking about people whose skin you wear, are you?"

Being of a certain age and from Long Island I especially appreciated the PIX talk. I had forgotten about the football one.

Tom's impression of Elvis Costello was pretty spot on.

Tom suggesting that maybe Spike shouldn't be the anchor of the start of every show. It's gone to his head.

Tom suggesting that Spike blew a fuse in his head. "You can't fake that!", Tom responding to a caller attempting to take Spike's place.

(edit - just for the record, I really enjoy Spike's contributions to the show)

I'll second that.
Lou Reed has become part of the collective of celebrities that sound like the Coffin Talk guy.

-The Anatomy of A MAD TV Sketch
-Tom abandoning his Elvis Costello speaking voice impression halfway through his first attempt
-The Petey impression after his call
This may be the year I will disappear.

My personal best moment was getting the Top Notch Call accolade from Tom. That made my holiday season a bit brighter.

tom's slight chuckle while saying "this guy can't help it" in reference to james' jamesing. the revelation that james is apparently helping tom via email was pretty astounding too.

With that Costello/Reed section, I couldn't stop thinking about Tarzan, Frankenstein and Tonto from SNL.

Yeah, that was me. Thanks. That is seriously the highlight of my month, possibly my year.

If one of them emoted way too much. Like, Tarzan, Frankenstein, and Enrico Caruso.
