Very good show. I say Stills for being so boring that he drove Elvis Costello to racist epithets to get rid of him.

Tom's impression of Elvis Costello was pretty spot on.

So great.

Worst moment of last night's show: the caller who flippantly dismissed everybody in Texas as gun-owning rednecks.

Also, if I ever hear the phrase "an oasis of blue in a sea of red" again, I'm going to shoot this whole place up.

Agreed on the Elvis Costello. Another top-notch impression!

I almost spit out my egg nog. And I don't mind Elvis Costello's voice (aside from that verse on Jenny Lewis's "Carpetbaggers." Yeech.)

the phrase "an oasis of blue in a sea of red"

Yeah, that's an awful saying, shame on any FoT who use it. This is lunch pail territory, save that shit for Meet the Press.

tom's slight chuckle while saying "this guy can't help it" in reference to jame's jamesing. the revelation that james is apparently helping tom via email was pretty astounding too.

Yeah, Tom seemed to have achieved a state of zen calm by that point in the show. He didn't let James get his goat.

My only disappointment is that Tom didn't get to chat with the members of Boss Hog. The mini-set sounded great!

Yeah, he's terrible on that track. I just played it for my friend who loves the Best Show but has no idea who Elvis Costello is. She now fully appreciates Tom's impression. Come to think of it, he hardly even exaggerated it...

A highlight for me was definitely when Tom and Daly laid into the two character from America.
Those two were long due for it.

Nice call  :) That's becoming a thing, isn't it.
