TS Chris L, I love the new theme.  Because I'm in it!!!  Which is seriously one of the greatest honors I have ever received and also probably the best birthday present.

I feel similarly about being included, even though it's not my birthday.

I'm just finishing up the show. The Cardiff Giant is killing me.

My Dad was always trying to get us over to Cooperstown to see that thing on display. Mom was pretty good about preventing that road trip.

Mom: "Why in the world would we go there, Kevin?"
Dad: "The Cardiff Giant!"
(Silence. Eyes roll.)
Dad: "Chris and I could go!"
Me: "Where is Cooperstown again?"

It was a great night for thoroughly put-out hipsters from Brooklyn.

Everyone's got something to say about Brooklyn.

Which Cardiff Giant is on display in Cooperstown? The original fake or the plaster replica P. T. Barnum had made?

I said nothing about Brooklyn.  I love Brooklyn. Two of my best friends live in Park Slope and my favorite breakfast in the world can be found in Williamsburg.  I was talking about two callers from this week's show, both of which were from brooklyn.  Just 'cause you live in Brooklyn, doesn't mean you're a put-out hipster. I live in WeirdOWood. That doesn't make me a tranny hooker.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Julie's getting Heave-Ho'ed over taking liberties with Dogmo's gender.

I've been to Cardiff, and there's one guy that works at a pub right by the Millennium Stadium that's 6'7".

Apparently, he's not the Cardiff Giant that spoke to Tom, who sounded like the Gorch.

Samir, you may be correct. No disrespect intended.
The Cardiff Giant and the Gorch sound nothing like each other.
Thank you in advance for helping to keep that fourth wall from crashing in on me.

That Petey GOMP killed me. I had to hit the archive repeatedly for it. Anyone know what show it's from?

*edit*

Nevermind. just saw it in the GOMP thread.

We'll settle this the only way Brooklyn and Hollywood can ever settle anything, and that is with an American Apparel face-off. The person to look the most unsettling in the least amount of clothes (yet still be allowed in a store) wins, and their city TAKES IT ALL.

The original Cardiff Giant was on display at the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown. I don't know if it still is or has completely disintegrated yet, or been moved to anything more exciting as a Farmers Museum.

So you claim. But how can we be sure?

I laughed really hard at the Canadian doofus's enthusiastic - and completely, completely inaccurate - rendition of "Go For a Soda", a song that's been in heavy rotation on Canadian classic rock radio for 25 years or so.

A pretty good song, and the video is notable for the baffling casting choice of the lead. I'm plenty proud of Kim Mitchell.

better make it neutral, Spoony: Urban Outfitters (straight outta philly).

AA has LA alliances.

I hear your concerns Baron. But there is one third party who has a foot on both coasts and loves gross thighs: Vice Magazine.
