just listened to whole show last night.
spike jazz joke was awesome.
I was still laughing at Tom's impression of Paul's lustful grunting this morning when I got up.

Also, there was a new great Tom-repeating-something-in-disgust moment: CUPCAKES!

Tom's handling of the unwelcome return of the riddle guy.

Just how long has the riddle guy been calling?  And is he also the payola guy?

I don't know if he's the payola guy. He called and told that same riddle for a couple of weeks running awhile ago - probably 2005 or 2006. I can't remember exactly when it was.

I'm on the fence about riddle guy, but payola guy never failed to make me laugh. Hilarious.

The payola guy was Kid Kansas.  I am pretty sure.

I've been told multiple times by multiple people who Payola guy is, and I forget every time.
Too soon?

Tom: FMU, you're on the air!
Fredricks: Tommy?!
Tom: Yeah, who's this?
Fredricks: FREDRICKS!
Tom: (muttering) oh brother...
Fredricks: Heyyyyy brotha!
Tom: No...I didn't say "hey brother" I said "OH brother!"

He's this soulless bastard from Siberia. I once saw him shove Fred Savage's face in a toilet.

Worst moment of Tuesday night's show:

No return of Joey Levels.

Ha! Joey Levels was great. Was that just last week or early 2006? I listen to a lot of the archives so occasionally I get confused

I listened to the podcast today. Imagine my horror at hearing Paul F. Tompkins (a personal hero) saying "some jerk named spacepope is spamming the chat by signing in and out a bunch". So, sorry everybody. I like to turn on the live stream and occasionally the chat so I can check in if I get away from the kids for a minute. From now on my attention will be solely devoted to the Best Show, as it should be.

That was my fault, Spacepope.  I got a little upset when the chat started acting weird, and kept showing your name signing on and off like 100 times.  I apologize for being rude.

Oh and same call, the incredulous response about knowing slash from GNR fame.

That whole call had me cracking up.  The hotdog puns as well

Thanks H-Man. It's not your fault I ruined the chat for everyone. Oops

My other question from this week's show is does anyone think Spike is actually going to come through for Tom and do a movie review next week? Tom has asked Spike to step it up a couple other times and Spike never does. He asked Spike to co-host the show. He asked Spike to write an opening monologue for the Best Show Awards. I predict no movie review from Spike.
