It took my wife a looooong time. There were many hours of partially-overheard shows before she started getting into it. She first warmed to the call-in stuff, then much later to the Wurster calls. The Art of the Slap played in the car, so she couldn't escape, was finally the tipping point.

I am very thankful that my wife is very supportive of my love for all things Best Show. I introduced her to the show by playing the best of Scharpling & Wurster CD's on a drive to Vegas, while she rarely has time to listen live she likes the show and will happily listen when I have it on.  She follows Tom and several FOT's on Twitter.

My wife only listens to my calls and just rolls her eyes except when I did the Tom impression then she laughed out loud at PFT making fun of me. If I make an ass out of myself a few more time she might become a regular.

Hey there. My name's Nick. I just started listening to The Best Show in mid-March, the second show after the marathon (so unfortunately, it looks like I'll never get to experience what looks to be an AMAZING premium (but I look forward to contributing to next year's marathon)). I've been keeping up with recent shows via podcast (I like the convenience) and listening to random archived shows when I can ever since (I look for things like Ben Gibbard, Ted Leo, or Zach Galifianakis, but might start to start listening to the oldest shows in order ).

One random question: How come people can talk about Scharpling & Wurster albums here but you can't talk about them on the air?
