Tom has told some really great stories about his life recently (i.e., casino fight, Jim Beam Papa Roach basketball game).  It got me thinking, what are some of your favorite Tom stories?

The stories are one of my favorite things about the show. I had a friend listening with me last night for the first time, and he cracked up at the recap of the ferris wheel story.

The image of this guy, all alone, sitting on a ferris wheel and quietly panicking. Oh man. I laugh so hard.

I liked PFT's tale of seeing a man that looked like Lily Tomlin. But my favourite Tom tale; I suppose it has to be Clerks 2.

Yeah, the "Day in the life of Tom" stories are awesome.

His McCarren Park stories always crack me up in particular.

My favorite is the one about the Wind attacking that Deathcab show in Brooklyn.  We've been having some devilish wind out here lately, and it always reminds me of when the crowd was like ...

"Boooo ... RUN!!!"
"I was in the shower and it occurred to me why the Hendersons named their guest "Harry."  That movie has layers!" ~ Jack Doneghy, 30 Rock.

Hard to say but I like that hes getting more personable lately.

Yeah, I'm getting to the point where the JW calls are not the part of the show that I most look forward to, which I never thought would happen (that's not to say I don't still enjoy them a great deal because I do).

I liked the story about the trip to Boston for the Big Dipper reunion show.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I loved that story about his trip to the Museum of Modern Art where he said something like this: "It was the summer of love, and I am so filled with hate."  Can anyone tell me what show that was?  I know it was sometime in summer of 2007....  I need to hear that show again.

Tom is a force of nature, like the tides.  Sometimes there are low drainers, sometimes not.

Tom's monologue stories are the best.
Any story involving a Best Buy I find hilarious; that place has given the show so much delectable fodder.

I love that at first Tom thought it was a To Catch a Predator Convention and not a Beatles Convention.

two stories come to mind.

one was shared last year around this time, where tom documented a rather sordid craiglist transaction in a mall parking lot. being an avid craigslister, it really struck a laff chord in me.

the butch patrick/beatlesfest story is pure gold. between tom's descriptions of the slobs buying srgt pepper's costumes and his recount of the cast of characters signing autographs, it's a story i won't soon forget.

ps -- if anyone knows the date of the craigslist show, please let me know!

I think that was during the Best Show Awards show, 2/5/2008
