I saw their tour bus parked outside the place they played last night on my way to work this morning. It made me sad that I chose not to go, I fail.

I didn't go either, but a friend of mine who is in the know managed to finagle me a pair of Awesome Show sunglasses and James Quall's home phone number.

I genuinely don't know what to do with either of these things, as the sunglasses are for a child.

DL Hart gave out his home number recently in some youtube video I saw, so it's probably not an exclusive club Joe.

Those glasses though, meow!

clearly you need to find or conceive a child, then put the glasses on them.

that, or put them on a cat.

I think they're like 50 bucks, which is why I didn't go (or possibly 25 a ticket, which is where I got the $50 number in my head since I'd be a +1). Next time they're in town though, I'll be sure and hit you up for a loan, Richie Rich.  :D

Eh 50 does sound steep. But it's worth 20 or 25 bucks to go see them. I can guarantee you've never seen anything like it live.

Yeah 50 sounds insane, you're right. I think they were 25 each plus whatever crap Ticketmaster puts on top. Either way, I would have totally paid 50 a pop to see them if I had the money this week - curse you Xmas!

Any Torontonians want to drive to Buffalo?

My friend and I would love to be your travel companions to see this.

We would pay gas and junk.

Let me know.

Ok, it was fun.  Much nerdier crowd than most music shows, which I'm sure I contributed to.

It  was more interesting and wild than funny per se--it's not like I was in pain from laughter as I had been after seeing, for example, Mr. Paul "F" Tompkins.  I'd say it was half performance art, half comedy.  With a lot of positive vibes!

My ladyfriend who is not the biggest fan of the show liked the live show a lot.  I'm not entirely sure if my other friend liked it.

Eh money schmoney!  So you don't eat for a week!  It's worth the malnourishment to be able to witness that lunacy live!  Plus, if you go and they're still doing the Papa John's bit you could just try and catch as much free pizza as you can.  I mean if you were really smart you'd drop everything and just follow the tour while subsisting on pizza thrown in to the audience.

I'd do it, but I'm real busy.

No pizza, but you can grab some free toilet paper.
