Listener Appreciation 2001

It's like the turning point between Tom being a little self-conscious and semi-ingratiating and then Tom being Tom as we know him and love him...

Three calls in a row:

guy complaining about a Wurster call being a hoax and eating on the phone - "Don't eat on the phone you pig!"

lady asks if Tom would ever do his show naked, but has radio on really loud, sounds like a tunnel - "AAAAAAAARGH I CAN'T TALK TO YOU EITHER!!! BRRNNNNNNNNGHGHGHG!"

guy asks if an earlier caller actually owns a tractor - "I don't know..."

straight into a song, with no comment.

Beautiful.

Grading finals.  All alone up here in the office.  Listening to this episode.  WHAT THE FUCK.

I can't even believe this happened....can't believe it.  That would make me snap, too.

Yesterday I listened to the first appearance of Stevie Blue.  Wow.  Just....wow.

WOW WOW WOW.

Working my way through this beast.

Listening to the Todd Palin show, the first episode I ever listened to and it still holds a special place in my heart. I don't think I was ever more confused and delighted than during that night.
