Does liking series one more than series two put me in the Look Around You minority?

Absolutely not. That was kind of the attitude in the UK around the original broadcast, but S2 soon won everyone round. Both series are masterpieces, obviously.

The DVDs are well worth getting too. Special features are excellent, and all in the style of the show. The first series also features the calcium pilot show. The asphyxiation of the i-calcium is one the most disturbing things I've ever seen in a comedy show, and it only involves a testube of powder and a waving needle.

You might not be the next Mozart, but you could be the next Grozart.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Seriously, both series need a Region 1 release (or I need to get a region-free player).

Season 1 changed my life

I watched it after the Tom interview - and I have to say it's such pure joy.  I literally just have it playing while i'm working constantly now.

I've not had a chance to go into Season 2 too much.  I saw "sports," brilliant as well of course.  I was first exposed to that 80s straight BBC documentary style program when I did my mission in south africa and of course season 2 is so amazingly authentic feeling it reminds me of watching those programs down there.

"The American Policeman" was glorious.

1. My Prerogative - Bobby Brown
2. Every Rose Has Its Thorn - Poison
3. Straight Up - Paula Abdul
4. Miss You Much - Janet Jackson
5. I'll Be There For You - Bon Jovi
6. Toy Solider - Martika
7. Good Thing - Fine Young Cannibals

I'm really looking to the Tarvu series. Is there any word on when that starts?

Also worth watching if you are a fan is Peter Serafinwicz's "The Peter Serafinowicz Show". Nowhere near as good as LAY, but some excellent sketches and impressions amongst the filler.

I re-watched a couple of the series 2 episodes, and enjoyed them just as much as ever. I particularly love the "Data Bank" bits, every single one of which makes me laugh out loud.

Check out the alternate ending to the Medibot/Health episode of Season 2, available on youtube.  Mr. Popper gets quite profane about his new tusk.
