Quote
Hipsters, Star Trek, Life, Austin, MARLEY & me...

It started moments ago, just before choosing ‘Futura’ as my font, when I opened WORD only to close a window only to find it was what I had started for this next Tuesday’s DVD column, then a smirk crossed my face. Oh sure, I’d fucked up – but an idea hit me...

Try and get through this!  There's no way you can.

I made it to "22-year-old wife" and then I had to go for a walk.

OK, nobody ever bring up hipsters in an argument for or against anything ever again. Please. (That goes triple for AV Club commenters.)

And by "It," I mean the groom.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

That word has become the pejorative of choice for everyone who ever had their feelings hurt by the cool kids. I'm guessing for Knowles it just means anybody in the world who doesn't proudly refer to himself as a geek.

Wow that guy's grammar makes my grammar read like Sarah's grammar.   Or do I mean to say 'syntax'?   Harry and I have no idea.

But on the internet, the geeks are the cool kids going around trying to hurt peoples' feelings. It's just for not "getting" xkcd or Joss Whedon or whatever it is Wil Wheaton's yammering about on his blog, rather than for not being up on the newest DFA release or what-have-you. It is perplexing to go around trying to find information on video games only to wind up feeling like you've stumbled into some kind of hostile nerd cabal.

His wife must have incredible low self-esteem. Because, seriously, she's pretty cute.
Too soon?

I don't think Knowles even gets to be a geek.  A geek should have some kind of skill other than just watching shitty movies.  Like, a computer geek is actually able to do stuff with computers.  Geeks are useful in some way.

Yeah, but you guys have to admit he's got a point here:

I love what newest in stores, albeit slightly aloof in my following of any modern clothing trend other that the ridiculously lost nature I find the person in the mirror wearing.

And I'm totally with him on this:

Quote
When I came home after a dinner at a University / Campus area Greek/Italian restaurant with two of my groomsman and the bubbly new smelly shoe. (More on that later) Anyway – I had business with Roro, had to sign the checks early, as he’s leaving for … Las Vegas on Business later on today, but you know… responsible forward thinking small business kinda things. My other friend was Johnny Wad. We three men are all approaching and Eskimo kissing with middle age, some may argue my senior years have come, but I’m hopeful.

Maybe you guys are all too young to get it, but as someone who's Eskimo kissing with middle age, I'm really feeling this.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

He said something about his wife narrowing her already beautifully narrow eyes.  Nice exoticization, you racist tyrant.  Domestic colonialism is never okay.
