Since I have neither pride nor shame left, I am offering up this website that just recently went up, containing a number of songs from my college band.
My favorite song of these was Alabaster Mansions, though, sadly, it doesn't get a real good mix here. As I suggested in the subject, it was the 80's. I wrote the music for about half of these. I can't tell you which ones; I don't even remember them (though that's certainly me sawing away on the guitar.) I only sang once; it was not captured on tape, thank God; I was singing the Neil Young part on the chorus of "Ohio" at a small club show.
We were trying to meld limited musical skills with religious songs that bent politically to the left, and have it be successful in Knoxville.
While I am a little wincy about many of these musical moments, it was a good time for me, and I remember it all fondly. If you read the description of the group (written by a guy who was not a member of the group, but has a musical thing going on to this day,) those shirts really were pretty cool.
