Best Show spinoff series
« on: May 29, 2009, 02:26:44 PM »
I have given some thought to which callers could star in their own television show.  I think Skag Winesack is the strongest contender.  A retired PI who plays saxophone and lives in a marina full of houseboats where only other retired PIs, FBI agents, and cops live, I think, provides the most dramatic potential for a weekly series.

That said, Philly Boy Roy has definite potential.  The Gorch would make a good movie, detailing his trip across the country to kill Tom.

Spike would be a good candidate for a segment on Dateline NBC, but I think a whole series would be a little too much for him.

Bishop Pablo Fontana could host an ET-type entertainment news show.

PBR and family would be perfect for a sit com.

Dr. Fred Meyers should head up the next season of HBO's "In Treatment."

Didn't David Lynch make that movie already?

I'd like to see a buddy movie with the Gorch and Petey from the Future.

Petey from the Future attempts to return to the present day to warn Petey of now about Sheila Larson again -

Overshoots and ends up in 1955 in a manner not unlike the arrival of Mork on Happy Days -

Hijinks ensue

I think a prequel is that way to go.  I'm not sure of what, though.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

I would watch a Studio 60-styled show set at the Shout! Network starring Matthew Tompkins, or a State of Play-esque political thriller centered on Newbridge Herald-Times Republican-Herald reporter Marc Healy investigating shady goings-down at Kern Pharmaceuticals.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Now that would just be silly...

..However, as I understand it, Tina Yothers is on the short list for the role of Sheila.

A gritty, Dark Blue-esque series about Officer Tom trying to take down nefarious sleaze king/grope trafficker Larry the Perv, while running up against departmental corruption and his own innate douchiness.
