I believe Best Show favorites The DC Snipers are from NJ. Also, the very fine Personal & the Pizzas.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Mark Kozelek from The Red House Painters.  He has a song called New Jersey and another one called Morristown.
Also, I think members of the Jurassic 5 were from New Jersey.

I'm almost sure Mr. Kozelek is from Ohio.

Whoops.  You're right.  I should've done some research.

I believe Von Scharpling is a Jersey band as well.

Personal and the Pizzas are frauds. They market themselves as NJ rock n' roll, but those dudes are from the Bay area.

Their music is still pretty good, though.

I just broke my Personal & the Pizzas 7" in protest.

I look at "NJ Rock and Roll" as a style, just like all the "Brooklyn delis" around the country.

Hogan's Heroes!  I forgot about their existence until just now.  I had something they made.  A cassette?  A t-shirt?  I'll never remember.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Wow. Their music must have really affected you if you can't remember if it was a cassette or a t-shirt.

Well, you know.  Mid-80s Jersey hardcore.  Not a lot of it stands the test of time.

I'd like to second DanB's mention of R. Stevie Moore. He deserves a spot on your show in my opinion.
