I got a kick out of the comments at the bottom. Have all these people that said it's the best coffee in the world tried real fresh coffee that didn't come from a franchise or can or whatever?

Its hard to understand unless you live in Canada but Tim Hortons has this weird sort of "Canadian Identity" tied up in it.  You are supposed to think its the best thing in the world because its from HERE.
The coffee is okay, a little caffeinated for my tastes, but usually fresh.  I hear someone say "Goin' on a Timmies Run" at least ten times a day at work.

They used to be, but now they're not made in the individual stores: they are all made at a central factory in Brampton and trucked to each of the franchises. And the coffee is OK at best. McDonalds has better coffee.

The way Jim Horton's has successfully set itself up as a symbol of Canada makes me mad. The brand is lovingly embraced by meatheads and hosers from coast-to-coast thanks to some tear-jerking commercials.

At some low point, this one did make me get a little verklempt. (The 'proud fathers' commercial. Heh.)
