rdio invites
« on: July 24, 2010, 11:40:46 PM »
I've got 7 more invites if anyone wants one. It's sort of like a web-based social iTunes with a really slick interface. Just drop me a PM.

If anybody who got an invite gets more invites, I would like one. I'm a big fan of Slacker Radio and would love to see if this compares.

I'm so square ... what's Slacker, what's rdio?

It's basically like satellite radio but over the internet. If you pay for Slacker you can customize your stations and skip as much as you want so basically it becomes like your collection with recommendations on a mobile phone. From the look of rdio, it seems like it takes customization a step further by allowing you to just listen to a specific artist, maybe even an album, and it seems like it is free. So if anybody gets an invite please let me know!

OH YEAH.

I have these invites.

What I like is the streaming to my iPhone. What I don't like is I am too broke to pay cash monies past the trial.  LIVE and LEARN.

So I guess uhm PM me for an invite??

Thanks RM. I thought it's like a satellite radio, but it's more like Rhapsody. Which is OK, I subscribe to Rhapsody and their iPhone app stinks so I'll be replacing them with this.

I have some invites. Not sure if I'll ever use this but I'll share the wealth.

Who's planning on sticking with rdio after the trial? I need to follow some people.

I honestly don't know. I don't really have a use (I think at least) for any of these features. How much is this? I am happy kinda just with Pandora on my Droid if I need random music. And I always have my iPod.

I just like being able to listen to an album at anytime. I don't like syncing my phone with music, it's a lot easier to just stream plus it's the price of an album per month which I'd spend anyway on music. I've been a Rhapsody subscriber for a year or so and I loved it but their iPhone app was really bad so that's a big reason I'm switching. I think the social networking stuff is pretty cool too but I just don't know if anybody I know is going to sign up for 10 bucks a month. That's a great price to me but I can understand not wanted to pay 120 dollars a year to stream music.
