That's a fairly ignorant comment there dave from knoxville. Your idol Toms favourite band Fucked Up owes a lot in the guitarwork to Smashing Pumpkins and i think it would be fair to say that they recorded at least two albums worth of great material during the 90's. But don't take my word for it, go to allmusic.

I like Tom. I don't idolize him. I like some of the music he likes. Ted Leo, for instance. I don't care for Fucked Up. They sound too much like the sucky Smashing Pumpkins to me. I think I have been fairly open about being a rabid fan of Yes, Kate Bush, and ELO. I don't listen to music to be cool. I listen to what I like.

I can't define amateurish trolling by a 15 year old, but I know it when I see it.

Oh, he thinks he's the show's hall monitor.  Adorable.

It take a visionary to rip off Gene Simmons 20 years later.

I like Gish all right, really like the second one, think Pisces Iscariot is basically what it should be, and have gone on extensive record about my feelings for Mellon Collie.  After that, the curve draws tightly downward.

The weirdest rumor I actually heard in the 90s was that Billy Corgan and Leonardo di Caprio were lovers.  It seems to have been rooted in absolutely nothing, but I did hear it.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I think he imploded into a narcissistic black hole after his mother died in 96.

I like the rumor, mentioned in the previous BC thread, that BC doesn't believe the moon exists.

Yeah, not after I saw "Ghost Dad."

I didn't, nor did I see Leonard Part 6.

In all fairness, I think he mean "guitarmanship."
