Hi all! I am Catie from Atlanta. I started listening to The Best Show a few weeks ago and now I look forward to Tuesdays so much. I guess now I'll be lurking around here!

Welcome!

Your "live blog" sketches at http://catiefromatlanta.tumblr.com of the last episode were fantastic. I hope you make that a tradition.

Right out of the gate, I love the spelling "Catie".

I like your tumblr pictures but confess I was a little disappointed when I realized I'd misread your user name as "catiefromatlantis."  I was looking forward to learning more about that drowned island.

Well, despite my best efforts, I probably am both crazy & redneck to a higher degree than I'd like to admit. Got hit with the one, two punch of nature & nurture on both counts.

I hold out hope, however, for a "Dorian Gray" effect where the drawing gets more backwoods as I grow more refined.

Every day I am frustrated by your posts.  You are making it much more difficult for those of us in the "Good South" to look down on Alabama.  Soon it will surpass The State that Reelected David Vitter, then who knows?  Georgia?
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Haha oh my, I forgot to check this thing!

Dave I am glad you like how I spell my name, though for many years I spelled it with a K so I could fit in. :'(

And Sarah, now I am disappointed about my birthplace as well.

Catie,
I'm late to this thread but you are one of the few fellow Atlantans who I know as a FOT.

What's even sadder? I have never met one FOT from Atlanta in real life.

What's even sadder than that? I have never met one FOT EVER.

Wow.

Hello Atlantans,

Add another to your ranks. As much as I hate to admit it, Atlanta always seems a little late to the party. Glad to see I have some company out there.

Scot - I skipped Thee Oh Sees show, how was it? I've caught both Kurt Vile and Ty Segall (with Mikal Cronin, who I recommend checkin out) at The Earl over the past few months. Both phenomenal.

Drue, hi -

Oh Sees was GREAT. Openers Total Control absolutely slayed. Best show I been to in a billion years!
