Alternative to Real Audio
« on: September 23, 2012, 07:59:34 PM »
Hello. I recently discovered The Best Show (I'm a little late to the party) and have been listening to the older episodes that are available for streaming in the pop-up player. I love this show -- funny , interesting and a great source for new (to me) music.
I would like to start listening to the older episodes starting in 2000, but I am leery of downloading Real Player. I used Real Player back in the day, but I remember that it was very intrusive. Is anyone aware of a way to access or download the older shows without installing Real Player? I searched the site, but didn't find any information.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Kevin

VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) can play .rm files.

I'll second the recommendation for VLC Media Player. If you have Media Player Classic, there's also a Real Alternative codec available for download, which enables you to play .rm files.

Unfortunately, having Real Player on your computer sucks. Sorry you had to download it.

I know! I'm not a fan of real player, but nothing can stop my voracious intake of Best Show
