I hadn't heard of him. The interviews in that video were unbearable, so I couldn't watch the entirety of it. I read up on him instead. It's nice to see that the Catholic Church is sticking to their guns regarding his gruesome execution:

Quote
The current attitude of the Roman Catholic Church to Bruno is defined by a two-page entry in the latest edition of the Catholic Encyclopaedia. It describes Bruno's "intolerance" and berates him, declaring "his attitude of mind towards religious truth was that of a rationalist”. [1] The article describes in detail Bruno's theological errors and his lengthy detention at the hands of the Inquisition, but fails to mention the best-known fact—that the church authorities burnt him alive at the stake.

Okay, maybe Cardinal Angelo Sodano, the recently retired Secretary of State of the Holy See, said it more diplomatically on the 400th anniversary of Bruno’s death in 2000: He called his death "a sad episode," but refused to apologize for the actions of his inquisitors.

If by unbearable you mean highly comical, then...yes they are.

The kitty video is disturbing. I'm sure that's what you were going for, though.

I tried to get a grant to write a play about him. Didn't work, so the next year I switched to Darwin and got the grant. I used some FOT names in it (offstage characters). It's had exactly 2 readings since I finished it in 2009.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Nay, as they dare. I will buff my coat at them; which is a disgrace to them, if they bear it.

SARAH
No.

KORMODD
No, sir, I do not buff my coat at you, sir, but I buff my coat, sir.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

That made me laugh. I can't see Sarah as a Capulet goofball though (maybe Fredericks could take that role -- I could hear his mischievous giggle after he says "No.").

I don't know which character from Shakespeare she'd be. Maybe Beatrice from Much Ado About Anything (if she didn't end up falling in love with Benedick)?
