I think it's fair to assume that anyone who posts here may agree that this is just something you should never say to someone.
I've had my fair share doled out to me over the years, with some being "OK, I guess", and others more puzzling, but today may have seen the worst.
coworker: "you have an infectious laugh! I love it!"
me: "thanks!..?"
coworker: "do you know who you remind me of?"
[insert dread]me: "uh oh, you're in dangerous territory...watch out..."
coworker: "have you seen that cartoon......"
me: "oh, god
.....no"
coworker: "Muttley.....and something..."
me: "no....you just didn't...."
coworker: "oh, yeah....there's a dog on there...."
me:
"did I just get Muttley'd?"coworker: "no....other one..."
BOSS: "PRECIOUS PUP!"
coworker: "YES!"
